The girls are away for the day and overnight to their grandparents to help celebrate Grampa’s birthday and I have time to clean and relax! The girls are still learning lots in their time away, they went to a Reptile and Amphibian Show and had a chance to hold and touch lots of cool creatures. Chloe was excited to see turtles and Kai touched a boa constrictor named Fluffy! It was definitely out of their comfort zone, but they seemed to have a great time from all the pictures sent by Grandma! If you’re in the Edmonton area, the show is on again Sunday Oct. 9 from 11-4pm. You can find all the information here at the ERAS website.
Working from home and homeschooling means I have little time to myself, so I make the most of it when I get the chance! I spent the day buying groceries, starting my Christmas shopping, and organizing and purging at home. It snowed last night and today (yes, snow, and it was enough to cover the ground and it keeps coming), so I switched out the summer shoes and hats for mitts and toques and got all the winter gear ready to go. Now it’s time to put my feet up, enjoy a meal I don’t have to share, and start reading a book that was chosen for the local homeschoolers discussion group, The Unschooling Handbook.
